How do I watch shows?
Select a product from the drop box at the left.
Click the green book next to the desired Action (optional).
Your search results will be displayed in the center of your screen.
Click the movie camera icon next to the show you wish to watch.
The show will open and begin to play.

Type a keyword in the Keyword field (optional).
Click the FIND IT button.
Your search results will be displayed in the center of your screen.

Can I use PCShowAndTell on my system?
The system requirements to use our service are IBM or compatible PC with a
166MHz processor, 16MB RAM, MS Windows 95/MS Windows 98/Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack
3 or higher. VGA 256-color or higher graphics adapter and monitor. Parallel port or
sound card-enabled device supported by Windows 95, speaker(s) or headphones, and
mouse.
At this time PCShowAndTell does not support MAC, or WEBTV users.
What browser do I need to use?
The PC Show and Tell browser of choice is Internet Explorer 5.0 and above or Netscape Navigator 4.0 and above.
Does PCShowAndTell use cookies?
Yes. When you register with PCShowAndTell a cookie is placed on your computer to
store information. This allows us to recognize you upon returning to our library, thus
avoiding annoying passwords. We also use the cookie to store your personal products,
which allows us to customize the search screen each time you visit. If your computer
blocks cookies, it will be necessary for you to register each time you access the web
site.
If using Netscape Communicator 4.7:
- From the menu bar click Edit, then click Preferences.
- Under the Category listing, click Advanced.
- On the right side of the screen under the Cookies section, select "Accept only cookies that get sent back to the originating server" bullet.
- Click OK.
- Your Netscape Communicator 4.7 is now set to accept cookies.
If using Internet Explorer 5:
- From the menu bar click Tools, then click Internet Options.
- Select the Security tab.
- Click the Custom Level button.
- Scroll down to the Cookies section.
- Under "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer", select the Enable bullet.
- Click OK, and click OK again.
Why do I keep getting asked to complete the personalization process even after I have downloaded the player?
This would indicate that your browser might not be set to accept cookies. Once
your browser is set to accept cookies, you will not be asked to complete the
personalization process again. If you need assistance in setting your browser to
accept cookies, please see above, or email us at support@pchowto.com and
let us know what browser and version you are using.

What if I cannot locate the "FIND IT" button?
The FIND IT button is located just below the Keyword field on the Left side of every
page. If you are not able to view the FIND IT button, there are a few things to check:
The resolution of your monitor may not be set to 800x600 (Windows standard.) To set
your monitor to 800x600: go to your desktop, right click on your desktop; left click
"Properties;" left click the "Settings" tab; then just below the sample monitor
(in the center) you will find the Desktop Area. Move the button until it is set at
800x600. Then click "OK."
Make sure that you are using either Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or above, or
Netscape Navigator 4.0 or above.
Make sure your window is maximized. Click the middle button in the top right corner
of your window, like the one shown here:
What do I do if I keep getting a "Unable to play the show!" message?
Your cache is full and you need to clear you temporary internet files. To do this from you IE browser,
select Tools from the menu bar, Internet Options from the dropdown list, and click the
Delete Files button located near the center of the form.

How do I know if I downloaded the player?
When the install is complete, you should get a short (5 seconds) show (audio and
video) confirming installation. If you do not hear "Congratulations, you have
successfully installed the PC Show and Tell player" message after a few minutes,
please let our Tech Support know by emailing us at support@pchowto.com.
The install should not take more than 2-3 minutes on a 56K modem.
What do I do if I'm being asked what file to open the show with?
This would indicate that you may not have successfully installed our player. Click
the Download Player button on the Left of your screen to reinstall the player. If
after installing the player you are still being asked what file to open shows with,
please email us at support@pchowto.com
and we will help you reinstall the player and make the proper file association.
What if I cannot find the show I am looking for?
Make sure you have selected the appropriate product and the action you desire on
the library page. If you still cannot find it, click on the iHelp button (bottom
left of every page) then click the "I Can't Find It" button. Let us know what you
are looking for and we will attempt to find it for you, or if it is not in the
library we will attempt to build it. Or send us mail at

When do I use "I Can't Find It"?
If you cannot find a show covering your desired task, or if you cannot find the
product you need assistance with, this is when to use the "I Can't Find It" form.
"I Can't Find It" is designed for you to tell us what you want to do or what it is
you want to learn about.
What if the shows have no sound?
Check to make sure the volume on your PC is adjusted to the desired level. To
adjust the computer volume, click on the yellow speaker icon in the bottom right
hand corner of the screen. On the show player, volume can be adjusted by moving the
slide either up or down. The volume slide is located on the right hand side of the

How do I remove my name from the Tip Of The Week?
If you wish to be removed from the Tip Of The Week list simply update your profile
by clicking the My Profile button, then click the My Info button. UNCHECK the field
that says "Sign me up for the Tip Of The Week!" then click the Update button. You
have just removed your name from the Tip Of The Week program. If you continue to
receive Tip Of The Week mail, simply send us an email at
support@pchowto.com
with UNSUBSCRIBE or REMOVE in the subject line.
How do I change my email address?
Click on the “myProfile” button on the left navigation area. Click on the “myProfile” button on the
center of the page. You will be presented with a form that allows you update your information.
